CHAPTER 25

Karen came down to find him still asleep in the morning. She woke him gently and asked what had happened, “Were you in a fight?”

Colin tried to sit up but his bumps and bruises got the better of him for a while.

“I didn’t do much fighting,” he muttered “it was that prick Scott Hall and his mates. Have we got any painkillers in the house?”

Karen went to the kitchen and came back with a bottle of pills and a glass of water.

“Don’t you think I should run you round to the hospital Col? It looks pretty bad,” asked Karen, lightly touching the side of his face.

Colin shook his head “Not likely! I’ll be okay in a couple of days.”
