I don’t know, I don’t care.

Don’t ask me, I don’t dare.

To me, life hasn’t been kind.

But in truth, I don’t mind.

I understand the insignificance,

Of my existence.

No one owes me anything,

To people, I don’t cling.

Love me or leave me,

Just let me be.

I don’t know why I’m here,

Of my fate, I remain unaware.

Don’t ask me to start feeling,

Only to appear caring.

Life has always been unkind,

Hope isn’t easy to find.

I don’t dare expect what’s not there,

I don’t know, and I don’t care.
