I went to the DMV yesterday.

Spending time at the DMV is not usually how I like to spend my Thursday mornings, but I did it anyway. I thought a long time about not going at all and just letting my Pennsylvania ID lapse.  I don't drive, so it's not like I actually need it for anything. It's even more useless now that Pennsylvania – in its infinite wisdom, charity, and benevolence for its people – decided the TSA upgrades were too expensive for *them* to implement, so they decided not to comply. As of January 1st, if I want to get on a plane to anywhere – New York, New Orleans, down the goddamn street – I have to use my passport.

So, the ID card is pretty much useless and I wasn't going to get it, but then it occurred to me that I do buy Sudaf...
