Chapter 21

   Wandy Boudreaux caught up with Alice as she navigated the hallway towards the exit.  “What'cha know, Ali-Joe,” the rotund brunette said jovially between breaths as she struggled to keep up with Alice who was walking briskly towards the parking lot.

   Alice, still moving forward, opened her notebook, took out a folded piece of notebook paper, and handed it to her classmate.

   Wandy opened the paper and then stopped. Her mouth fell open. “OH MY GOD!” she said, as she read the simple one line note: “To my dear friend, Wandy, Yours Truly, Denny Taylor,” she read. “AAHHhhhhHHHH!” she screamed. Then she started running again to catch up with Alice who was a...
