Chapter 21

   “What time is it?” Alice said frantically, as she rushed into the living room to the TV.  “What channel is it on,” she said, as she pulled the On knob out.

   Delia picked up the newspaper and thumbed through the pages. “It's...Channel 13, 4 p.m.  American Bandstand...with Dick Clark,” she read.

   The screen crackled with static as the picture tube turned blue.  Alice turned the dial two clicks as the picture materialized on the screen.

   “Mr. Clean gets rid of dirt and grime and grease in just a minute.

   Mr. Clean will clean your whole house and everything that's in it....
