Chapter 20

   The Nomad screeched to stop in front of Lonny's house just before five p.m. Dennis put the wagon in Reverse and backed up to the open garage door. Both the doors opened, and Dennis and Alice jumped out. They walked up to the blue drum kit that was stacked on the concrete floor just inside.

   “--bout time you got here,” Lonny said, coming out of the back door of his house, Duane following behind.

   “Have you had a chance to practice on 'em?” Dennis asked, as he opened the tailgate.

   “Yea, I've been playing along with the record when they play it on the radio,” Lonny said. “It's been playin' regular about once an hour.”
